On October 13, 2007, the SBCGS will hold its second Picnic in the Cemetery event in the Carpinteria Cemetery on Cravens Lane, Carpinteria. Eight residents of the cemetery (portrayed by society members in period dress) will tell the stories of their lives. This will be followed by a picnic at the Carpinteria Valley Historical Society’s Museum on Maple Avenue. Reservations are required and due no later than September 28. Mail your reservation and check for $20 for members and $25 for non-members. This event is not open to the general public as space is limited. Carpooling is recommended.
